On the way to the 1510 Rendezvous in Baltimore

The Admiral and I left National Harbor Marina near Wilson Bridge by DC after a two month stay on Sunday. We took a diesel fuel saving 9 to 10 knots on a perfect Sunday down the Potomac River to Cobb Island, Md. Monday was another beautiful day down the Potomace to the Chesapeake Bay and then north to Solomon's Island, MD for a two day layover. Filled up my saddle tanks on the 1974 46' Hatteras Convertrible at $3.89 gallon for an average of 10 galllons per hour. Wednesday, we head north probably to West River and then into Baltimore Thursday for the rendezvous at the Inner Harbor East Marina.

This Hatteras, Sea 21, has been a three year project that's about 3/4 done. Still need to add Slane vents, paint the hull & replace the canvas top with a hardtop.

The trip down the Potomac is a beautiful one, isn't it? Although SERENITY (53MY) won't be at the 1510 Rendezvous, we will be underway on the Bay as you work your way north. May even see you on the West River Wednesday. Not sure where we will be headed after getting underway tomorrow afternoon from Deale, MD...probably Oxford, but who knows?
