Looks like a 63 through 65 34' trunk cabin.

That old girl must have some stories to tell.

Eric

It does look like she is still being used. Needs a lot of work to get her looking good again.

The flag looks ok.

Drop about $200K into her and you will have a fine vintage vessel that's worth $10K

I look at boats like this and think that at one time this was someone's pride and joy. Someone bought it brand new, started the engines for the first time. Sad!

It IS sad. I feel the same way. Once upon a time, she came out of the High Point plant looking every bit like someone's dream.

I recall reading or hearing one time that years ago, 95% or more of the Hatteras yachts ever built were still functioning boats. Anyone know any updates on that?

Owning an old boat like this that is mechanically sound and seaworthy is a lot peoples dream. Cosmetics aside.

It seems that every time I sell one of my pampered pride and joy's, some asshole buys it and turns it into a sad mess. I never get but a fraction of what I have in it let alone my sweat equity, but I always hope that someone will love and maintain it. Now I just hope that they leave the area so I don't see they decay.

Speaking of old boats. Some time ago anyone that registured their Hat with Hatteras. Hatteras sent you a magazine kinda a review of what is going on in Hatteras. I received it after purchasing my first one in the early 70's. I took the boat to Cannon boat workes where it was origionally set free from. It was painted and other work done to it. A1965 34c some one from Hatteras came by and did a story on it. Maybee 2 to 3 pages worth i do not remember exactely heck it could have been just one page. I would like to put my hands on one copy are they kept at Sam"'s? It would have been the summer of 1971. I have picks of all my boats except that one.

In the '80s that was called Hatteras World magazine.

You should call Steve. If anyone could track it down, he could.

I think there was another one called "the Squadron" too either before or after World
