  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
61' MOTOR YACHT (1980 - 1985)
I have just cleaned my Walker Air Sep filters. Difficult to buy Walker products here. What alternate oil can I use to oil them? WD40 seems too easy but will also do the job?

Can you get K&N oil?

They have an agent over here but do not sell the K & N oil. What else could be used, please?

Marvel Mystery Oil would probably work.

This is probably the best replacement/substitute.
Just a few drops.

Pour the rest of in in the gen-set(s) Racor.
Mini injector cleaning.

Question; Was it just something to do or were your filters dark and dirty?
Performance issues that prompted you to clean maybe?
Do they really look cleaner?

We had the big DDC silencer cans with a lil foam wrap.
Then I found some K&N Filters that would work in way less space.

Years later, the cardboard box my K&N cleaning kit came in is falling apart.
I just have not felt our filters were dirty yet.

I clean mine once a year. They don’t look dirty but once I spray them with the K&N cleaner the dirt pours out. X2 on the Marvel mystery oil.

Not saying I'm accurate but I highly suspect its 20 weight engine oil. AKA sewing machine oil. now you just need to aerosolize it. Preval sprayer maybe?

X2 on what Rusty said, it’s amazing the difference after cleaning.

absolutely!! Just did my annual cleaning

Oh I’m sure I picked up at least 1/64 of a knot or 9/16 of a mile! That’s what’s amazing!
