When removing oil supply lines to/from turbo, do you remove the line from the fitting or the fitting from the turbo?
thanks john

Take it off at the turbo - the new turbo will not come with a fitting.

JT used the football shaped adapter plate with a T fitting and the hose screwed into the T with a 1/4 male thread. You can remove the two 3/8 bolts with allen heads. When installing the new/rebuilt turbo it should be threaded for a 1/4 NPT fitting. I use a new line with a 90 degree female swivel on it and a 1/4mpt x 3/8 MALE 45 degree flare adapter. Screw the adapter into the turbo and use new hose. This way eliminates a potential gasket/oil leak.

Be SURE to remove the arm and have the end that mates to the turbo surfaced. If you don't I gaurantee it will leak. Also replace the 4 allen head bolts that hold the arm to the manifold as they break.
