I noticed my starboard oil pressure drop while running. By time I got to my location it was at 20 instead of the 40 normal. The run was an hour long. No leaks or oil smell in the engine compartment. After the motor cooled, oil level was good and I checked the antifreeze. It was extremely low. I carried extra (not quite a full container) so put what I had in. Not enough to fill it back up. Came home. Ran normal and once back to the slip dropped to 30. I assume due to the motor warming up.

Oil changed end of each season. No issues before winter lay up. Run 3000-3200rpms. Motor rebuilt 3yrs ago.

Question
Once I fill antifreeze tank back to level. Should I also change the oil and filter?

Thx

You need to determine why the coolant was low. Could have been a simple cause, like loose clamp. Gotta start there and work forward.

So today I changed the oil, oil filter and oil pressure sending unit (just in case it was going bad.) Of course, topped off the antifreeze reservoir. Idle warm I got 32ish-35. When I bumped the throttle, the needle raised up. Won't know the big results till I run her. So far it's better than before. Didn't see any external leaks of antifreeze of course I'll keep eye out on the reservoir level.
