Can anyone tell me the correct method of assembling these fittings? I'm ordering new hose and haven't seen anything on how it should be done. I have had one apart and back together OK but would like to see a procedure if possible, considering the consequences of a failure. Thanks for any input.

Thanks Curt, found a video that shows the same fittings I'm working with. I had removed one in place to reseal a leaking pipe fitting and was able to reconnect it in place, but now I see they should be removed and the hose (with suitable adapter to prevent damage) held in a vise with the nut threaded onto the hose, THEN the tapered nipple threaded into the nut.
