And spend all that money on fireplaces yet leave the 3 knob controls on the A/C units. Strange.

Air Conditioning has been removed and replaced with Espar Hydronic Heat / 32000 BTU Diesel Fired / 8 heat exchangers / individually controlled with Hi Low Off switches and centrally controlled with thermostat / 12 volt operated / 3 new batteries and new inverter charger just for heat. Brand New Kuuma 20 Gallon Tank HWT with heat exchanger from Diesel Heat.

No AC?

Someone married that thing. Take a full weekend to just dust it.

It's in Vancouver. Air conditioning is not a big concern in Vancouver. Heat OTOH,...

I'm reminds of the cr@ppy A/C in a Volvo I used to own. All I could picture was a bunch of Swedish engineers assigned to designing it looking at each other saying "Vell vy vood ye vant to make it colder?"

I want to go boating up there...and Alaska....one day

Or a cruise is nice. Ours left from Vancouver and did the inside passage. You'd be hard pressed to find more beautiful country.

A friend bought the same boat for a steal. 35K. It needs a lot of work but he's owned it for a year and the hull has been completed, motors are running strong and the bildges are very clean. He is a general contractor and does finish work so it's not going to cost an arm and a leg to bring her back to almost new. I'm amazed every time I see her. He thinks for 100k he will bring her back.
