Taylor G Champlain Canal.webp

I have attached a photo of the Taylor G (our 1976 43 DC) with my wife Ali and me waving happily to all forum members. We had just come out of the next to last lock on the Champlain Canal before entering the lake itself.

Made the trip from Washington, NC Yacht and Country Club to Burlington, VT Boathouse Marina in 10 days even with 2 days lost waiting out bad weather in Cape May, NJ before running off-shore to NY.

As usual, the Taylor G performed flawlessly. Great trip so far. Currently home for 2 weeks of work before returning to Lake Champlain for more cruising until end of August when it will be time to start back home.

Tied up 2 slips away fro John Merritt and Katey Breen who were enjoying the lake on the Lightfoot (their 1980 43 DC).

Its great to cruise and meet other people doing the same on "old Hatts"

We had to give up on Champlain because of our bridge clearance. The '85 M/Y is a bit taller and won't make it under the bridges. Oh well, we had to go to the St. Lawrence instead.

Mallet's Bay was a great stop.

Mel......Remember, I am up here on the lake if you need anything. Regards, Bob Waz

Enjoy the fireworks tonight. July 3 is when they celebrate on the Lake. Not July 4.

Thanks Bob, I'm starting to run low on Bombay Blue Sapphire Gin and tonic water. If you have some I will run up your way!!! Mel
