Hatteras Model
74' COCKPIT MY (1995 - 1999)
The winter weather played havoc with some of my non-skid deck areas. I am NOT handy with any type of paint. Is this a job that requires professional help or what? Also, how costly and/ or time consuming is it to do the side deck areas only? I might just wait awhile until I am South again in a year or two and let the guys in the know do it if it cannot be done easily, and well in my local area. All of the prior threats talked about DYI ventures. I know my limits.

Depends on your desired level of finish. I'm getting estimates right now do do all of mine refinished. Unless you can get the boat indoors, late spring or early fall is the best time of year for paint work around here.

What if I decided to remove the non-skid and not replace it. Is there any chance that what is under the non-skid is suitable looking decking?

I used this product on a rebuilt 100 year old wooden sharpie launch. Was amazingly easy to apply, just roll on, and it has been out in the elements for two years without appreciable fading and no lifting or flaking.

I am considering using it on my Hatteras as well.

Thanks. Waiting for an estimate from Raybo. Although, he is not certain when he will be able to get it done. Why am I not surprised.
