I am attempting to connect a Horizon RP100 repeater to a Cetrek C-net 2000 Multi speed/depth log (NMEA 0183). The Cetrek unit has +ve & -ve NMEA outputs. The repeater unit appears to only have single wire connection NMEA inputs.

Can anyone explain the difference here? Are these 2 units compatible? I have owners manuals for both units but nowhere are these connection differences mentioned. Your collective advice/experience is appreciated!

I seem to rember going thru this before I believe the 2 wire is for input/output data streams. If you have a device that just takes a input there is only 1 wire. I think the newer formats can use one wire for both directions.
Hey REB what is the deal with these question sites? You ask a question then they want $30 to answer. But only if you like the answer????
