New Wipers

I have the standard electric single arm swing style wipers on My 43. I would like to convert them over to the double parallel arm style. Has anyone ever done this and is it very much trouble to do? Any idea on cost?

Dual arm wipers were on my 1980 43-DCFB when I got it. I don't know if they are original or not but, most everything else on the boat is. Judging from photos I've seen here, the drive motors look standard. I still haven't had a chance to get to the boat in the past few weeks but when I do, I'll see what information I can get for you.
In the mean time, you may want to check with SAM's to see if they can help you.

our 1986 36C has dual arm wipers. These were part of the optional lower helm kit'

I'll check with SAM's. If it is not a high price item. I'll give it a go. It's not a mandatory repair. They all work. It's just a nice up date.

I put them on my 43DC. Bought them from Vetus...expensive!! I bought the longest arm and blade they had.

They work fine but one arm should be adjustable as the wiper motor does not mount level. I've told Vetus about it but either they don't get it or don't care. Very few windshields are level as the flybridge is obviously designed to shed water. I've been toying with welding a stainless turnbuckle in one arm.
