I redid my prop shaft packing. I did it about 4 years ago, lot of hours and miles since. I was surprised the condition still looked pretty good. A little stiffer, and it appears to have filtered some Tennessee clay from the river... I used, same as last time, 1/2 inch DuraMax Ultra-X. Yes, I did it in the slip, No, the boat didn't sink. Don't attempt this in the slip without good gland access, and being flexible like Gumby.
