Nigerian scam artist?
Ummm... shouldn't you be pointing out that this thread was posted in the wrong place? The convertible market is still hurting bad. Sure if this were a motoryacht it would be gone but even so, I think that it really doesn't matter how "salty" or rough the boat is since it is priced in the $30's. If it runs, floats, the genny powers the boat and the A/C's keep the boat cool it's one hell of a deal at anything in the $30's. A buyer could bring it straight to a good yard and spend $50k on a complete paint job and have a new-looking boat for an investment somewhere in the $80's! WOW.
Still, seeing these grand old ladies offered for such a low price does make you think. I wonder why this boat is not just donated. I bet you could get it appraised at 100. If the owner is in the 39% tax bracket he's done with no muss or fuss.
