46' CONVERTIBLE-Series II (1981 - 1984)
Hello all,

I need a new fridge and went online looking but I really didn,t see one that would fit right. Has anyone purchased one recently?.

Thanks,

Geo

What size is it? I'm in the process of replacing mine in a 78 ft. (started out as 65 ft.) I found one at Lowe's that is the same size. No matter what it is going to be a big job in my case anyway.

Not sure what will be best but i think your limiting factor is the 24"-25" companion way. It is a galley down boat right? Some of the newer units aren't as deep and can fit down the stairs if you take the doors off. Take a bunch of measurements and then search on line. Once you narrow your search, go to an appliance store and measure the units without the doors to see what might work best.

The one that fits is the obvious answer! I'm pretty sure it's an 18 ft.³ model, after that you're on your own. Every manufacturer lists the height width and depth of every model they make. Make sure you get an energy Star certified model, that is if you run it on inverter. The energy Star model uses substantially less electricity. It is simply a matter of comparing what is available to the available space you have.

I had to go with a Danby. Not state of the art, but it was the only one that would fit. I had the cut the old fridge in half to get it out. The sawzall was my friend. Careful of compressor oil dripping on the carpet while exiting. I'm still cleaning that spot.

Brakleen in the red can. Any auto parts store will have it.

Thanks Scrod! I'll try it.

Just to be safe, the standard rule with all fabrics applies. Test it in an inconspicuous place first. ;)
