Doesn't seem to be any tracking so even on the hook in calm waters this will not work.

All you get is a smaller fixed dish which is easier to hide. If y don't want to spend a couple of thousands on a true marine system, I think a regular dish painted white is a better value.

No install or contract either, and if you have directTV at home you can get additional receivers for the boat for just a few dollars a month.

We have the tailgator and it fills our needs.It has its limitations but works well.

I have the winegard carryout from dish. Works great in the slip for $7.00/ mo. Won't work at anchor.
