neutral safety switch

My 3 year old son reminded me that I don't have a neutral safety switch. You can imagine the pandemonium when i started up at the dock. Did Hatteras ever install switch ? 1976 46c.

Not on diesel boats generally-speaking, no. I don't believe there were ever neutral safety switches on mine ('85 45C)

one of my cats reminded me a few weeks ao... no big deal. I could feel right away something didn't feel right when gears engaged as pressure came up
