HI Dj, I think I know the boat you are speaking about and If so the broker told me the vessel isn't sea worthy. have you had the boat surveyed yet?

Plenty of good captains that will do the delivery for you. If you are planning on doing it before the winter you better hurry up. That window is closing and can close fast. A couple of years ago I had to move my boat for winter storage. Moved the boat the day after Thanksgiving, nice 60° day. Temps dropped 20° next day and we had 10" of snow two days later. After that it stayed in the 20's and 30's. That was in Barnegat, NJ.

best of luck on everything working out. I just purchased my 88 38 in august and love it.

i just worry about the 485hp 6-71's. owner said has another buyer if i dont plan on going fwd. prob gonna pass as i need time to figure transport

Last time an owner/broker told me to hurry up because there was someone else looking, I told him to let me know how that worked out for him. That was January and I bought the boat in May at my price. Maybe it's just me, but that's a red flag of the first order.

HA, that is what i emailed back. its not a problem on the price just cant get good idea on cost to get it to MD. i was told about 10k by one person

Looks like auction is ended, anyway. They made a few of these, don't give up.

That is the boat I mentioned earlier also on yachtworld. The broker told me it floats and had good a/c. No documentation on engine rebuilds everything else needs to be gutted....

If your afraid an engine may fail ln the trip they get Randy to run it. He's the best one wing boat handler I've ever seen.

Only one way to find out if she's worth pursuing. You need to go look at it or have someone you trust take a look. 10K might be a little high. You can easily figure out the cost. I'd expect she should burn around 2 gls per mile. Map it out and figure the stops. $600 per day should cover calf and expenses. A bit more if you need a mate. You may have additional prep expenses but that's all maintenance you'd need to do anyway.
