Need piece of rub rail 1988 38c

I had a bumper pop in last mondays storm while I wasn’t able to access the marina, and lost about 18” of the rubrail on the port side of my 38c. Anyone have a scrap piece around that I can try and blend in a piece?

I have a 5 foot piece of 1in. Stainless solid oval rub rail Sam's part number #72010. I used the rail for a similar project and due to a 10ft. minimum order still had 1/2 of the rub rail left over. Sam's sell it for $23.42 per foot. If this is what you need you can have the 5 foot section for $50.00 plus shipping. Based on my luggage scale the weight of the bar is just under 3 lbs. If this is what you need get back to me.
