Need new refridge

How can I fit a counter depth double door refridg in a hatteras 53 MY 1980 the space between the pilot area and door opening to galley is 23" any ideas?? thanks I am a new member and 53 MY owner

Measure the raw cut in the foredeck for the forward hatch, with the hatch and components removed.

That's exactly what I did - the link Eric posted will get you to my description. If you REALLY only have a solid 23" inches after removal of whatever trim/grab bars at the head of the galley stairs then you pretty much are going to have to either give up on that fridge or cut a new hatch above the galley, which is a fairly common decision.

A friend with a 58 did that and ended up with a nice hatch/extra light above the galley.

There are plenty of fridges that will fit with no trouble but if you want a double door type, you need 24" of clearance...NOT 23 7/8, 24!

Thanks for the info, i'll check out the link.. and yes the refer is 23 7/8' just too wide..
