I have DD 671 TIs. This filter is located near the starters beneath the emergency shut offs. Is this a by pass filter? Thanks for the help!

I have those also on my 6-71N's ... they are air box drain crap cans ... trace the lines back to the engine and I'll bet they attach to the air box drain lines.

Thanks guys, exactly what crap comes out of the air box anyway? Any particular cleaning procedure other than dropping off the canister and dumping em out?

Mine have a petcock in the bottom of the canister used to drain them periodically.
