Hatteras Model
54' EXTENDED DECKHOUSE (1989 - 1992)
A friend of mine is considering a NEW 60 MY however he wants to be able to put his motorcycle on the upper deck where the tender would normally go. Has anyone had any experience with this or has any pictures to share?

Thanks,

Seen it done, off and on with sling using davit. Terrible on bike if the boat is in saltwater.

Yep, needs anti-corrosion measures and a good cover. He may be surprised how difficult it is to get off the dock and onto a road in many places, depending on how big a bike it is.

Frankly it sounds like a lot of problems in the making. Cars have problems around salt air and water; bikes just basically dissolve.

Forget the bike tell him to put a Bell Jetranger up there.

I had a small Honda in the bridge of a 43' trawler I had. It was a great to get a better look around the ports we visited.

I kept it covered, and launched it with the dink davit.

LOL, He said a 60' Motoryacht, not a 160' Motoryacht!

Even a Harley will not weigh more than a nice 13'-14' console dinghy on a 60'er, so he should be just fine. The key is using good chocks and have a good sling and davit.
