Got a call yesterday morning about 8:00 saying that the dock next to ours had broken away in the wind (50mph) and was laying against our dock. When I got to the marina here is what I saw.
The first is a photo from the shore. Our dock is the uncovered dock, and we are clear at the far end. Luckily our dock is longer than the one that broke free. The second is the Carver that is acting as a fender, and the last is from the bow of our boat. The slip that has the last finger stuck in it was our slip three years ago.
Just goes to show what high water, a wind and lack of maintenance does to a marina.
