In my boat those fixtures are 32 volts. Check with volt meter to confirm. Mark

The closet and shower lights are all 32v in my boat. Sam's sells the bulbs, you don't have to reinvent the wheel unless you just really want LED's.

Macmaster has these that would swap right into the bayonet base 30 volt dc or ac Maybe its worth trying one.
I fear you are going to find 30V LEDS will cut off and not work on 32V systems.
I recall a HOF member learning this with his new 30V Nav lights.

The 30V rating covers the full swing of a 24V system (bulk charging and engine alternators).
32V systems can swing to 38V.

Sam's also sells a conversion fitting for the bulb that allows the led to fit in the socket.. Mark

We’re weighing options so keep ideas coming. Thank you

What about just installing a buck converter to step down to 12V so you can run cheaper and more readily available LED bulbs?

That converter costs about two of their bulbs would cost (or one of the lights you linked to) and with it, you're looking at $17 for a pack of six bulbs...

I successfully used the marine beam convertor for the navigation lights on my 55C. I put the convertor at the breaker for that circuit and installed 12 volt LED bulbs in all the nav lights.

Based on threads discussing this I've heard 120v used in 32v, 24v used in 32v, even 12v in 32v and visa versa. The 1228 bulbs in all the closet fixtures are blown, I didn't realize they were there until recently. I see marinebeam offers these

Is it safe to say they would be a safe replacement being they are 10-30v?

It's been a while since you posted this, just wondering if you tried these, they look nice.

PO installed 12-30V LED's in Pau Hana, but one of them blew and ignited in the galley one day. We ended up going back to halogen incandescents (Pau Hana had been converted to 24V from 32V). Our friendly marina vendors recommended this source - Products (lumiteclighting.com)

hey were sole-source vendor for a Marlowe in the marina, and had a similar issue with the same LED 12-24V 'bulbs' when one of them also ignited. Fortunately the owner's captain was aboard and able to extinguish the fire before it became more than just a single light.

That's scary. So the Lumitec brand are the ones that burned or is it just some random brand that that sight is selling? I hope they took the bad lights off the market!
