Montauk Fishing trip

Guys,
Me and my Dad are looking at spending a long weekend
in Montauk and doing a little fishing and put a hurting
on the clam population. I would like some local info on striper
fishing. When is the best time and who is a good charter ?
Also, where is a good place to stay? Any local knowledge
would be greatly appreciated.

Well Fall is certainly the best time. As for charters I can find out for you a lot of guys over on the Bertram31 site know them all. Let me know If you want me to ask or you can join and ask them they are very helpful bunch of Guys specially when it come to fishing

Fall is a good time. there are many 6 pack charters in the area. Herl's Girl My Mate, and Lady Grace are three that come to mind. Herl's Girl is an open boat , My mate is an old hat and lady Grace has a new downeast style boat. I know the captain of Lady Grace (Mario), he worked in the marine supply business at Freeport Marine for a long time, nice guy.


Should be good bass fishing!
