Hatteras Model
Not Currently A Hatteras Owner
There is a 1975 58' Flush Deck Hatteras Motoryacht for sale in Vero Beach, Florida. I'd appreciate any information about her.

Its gotta be a slowpoke with 8-71s... How about the rail instead of the bulkhead in the galley/dinette. The other peculiar thing is the back facing FB ladder, plus it wont fold up AND it was mounted upside down... look at the bends at the top. Other than that, its a give away at 98K dontcha think?? ws

I dunno Willie, bear in mind '75 was the last year of production for the 58TC, and I know they elminated the bulkhead behind the pilothouse and enclosed the upper salon on the later models. Maybe that railing between the galley and salon is factory, maybe not. I've never been on a later model TC, but I've seen other owners make such modifications and will probably follow suit one day.

As for the ladder, mine doesn't fold either, does yours? That ladder is in the original location (unlike mine), but I'm thinking somebody reversed it to pick up a little more space in the salon. Those are 871T's, so I doubt they'd be much slower than our 12N's.

Looks like somebody may have gotten a little happy with the varnish in some areas, but for the money, she looks pretty dang good. Maybe a touch of red velvet would seal the deal.

I'd love to fly down and look at her but sold the old boat last year and the boss doesn't want to get back into what she calls the stress of ownership. But she does look like a decent boat by the pictures of course I've seen boats that look good in pictures and are a wreck in the present.

That boat's not that far away from Scott aka boatsb. Maybe he would play broker for somebody and go check it out.

The upper salon setup is identical to mine. My ladder mounts on the front of the FB hatch and will fold up and hook into the cieling just in front of the back door.
FWIW... PPAT says the varnish looks better than white painted wood and teal countertops, sans the velvet and DISCO ball!! ws

Tell ppat to put in an offer on that one and we'll have us a tri-fecked-uh.

Seems to me there's not enough headroom on the upper deck to keep from smacking your head on that ladder in a folded up postion. Unless of course you're less than 5'10" or so which I'm not.

Thats my pal Johnny Boy who stands about 6'2" and he misses it by a mile... well 2-3 inches amyway... ws

Then your floor is lower than mine. I'm assuming yours is built up to be level as the original versions were anything but. Then again, mine still has the framing for the now removed disco ceiling.

Naw... mine has a 3" crown just like yers...Even the back door measures 6-2 from the deck.... ws

Well, if you're measuring 6'2", which sounds about right compared to mine (I'm 6'1" tall), then how is your buddy missing that ladder with his head?

You have to stop wearing those 3" heels....

Oh was I not suppose to tell about them :(

YOOHOO... Raaandy... ws

Yoo hoo what?

Did that thing used to double as a Methodist church with that stained glass?

Looks like your overhead isn't finished out and still has the curve of the bridge deck. That would explain why you have some extra headroom for the ladder to fold up into.

Thats not a Methodist church, thats Maguge Mufumbu's MOX!
Seriously, that is a redneck sunshade made by ALCOA... just like a Roamer....ws

Are those jumper cables on the ladder?

thats the factory clothesline!
