G'day all. I understand that you are coming into your Memorial Day weekend in the US.

From an old Aussie ex-serviceman (Navy) I would like to thank all of you both current and former members of the US Armed Forces for your service.

For those who did not return and laid down their lives in all of the various theatres of operations for the freedoms that you and I enjoy today, we in Australia have our Ode To The Fallen.

"They shall grow not old
As we that are left grow old.
At the going down of the Sun
And in the morning
We will remember them"

Thanks for your replies. I hope your day (weekend) was excellent and that you saw the appreciation for all Vets in the people around you.

There's a bond and commonality between the US and Australia that many will scoff at but none will break.

Your welcome. I was privileged to have a Veteran at my raft up this weekend.

Several years, I think 6, ago I took my son, now serving in the USCG, and his friend to Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery. We walked among the real Heros.

I never forget where my freedom comes from!
