mechanical gauges

Quick question, I hope. I am adding some mechanical oil pressure gauges to my 671TIs and I have had to add some brass fittings to fit them all in. Can I use teflon tape or is there some other sealant to use?

IMHO... teflon tape is what they sell at the HOMO for the weekend do it yerselfers...
Get some Locktite pipe compound with PTFE (anearobic with teflon) Theyll stay tight and NOT leak... at all!! A dab on the thred, spead it with a simple twist between the finger tips and install. No chance of contaminating the system with that toy tape!! ws
