What should be the clean, yellow and red #'s on my racor vacuum gauges to indicate plugged filters? Detroit 6-71's. I tried looking up, but the shop manual does not tell you. The Racor website says the actual colors may vary by engine manufacturer.

I make it a point to check the gages daily and change the filters when the needle is into the yellow. That might be a bit conservative, but with 30 micron filters on 6V92 s that is somewhere around 3000 gallons. I'm trying 2 micron this time around for kicks, and notice the initial readings are higher into the green than with 30 microns.
