A previous owner of my 1970 53MY decided it would be a great idea to replace the beautiful teak (I think...it might have been mahogany) doors for the closet in the master stateroom with some hollow Home Depot cut down doors that he then glued full kength mirrors onto. Don't get me wrong...I'm not down on the guy. After all, it was the disco era... However, the mirrors are obnoxious (and cracked) and I want that rich feel of real wood where it belongs. Only problem is that the opening is anything but standard size. Each panel is 69 3/4" x 11 3/4", much smaller than anything built to standard clost size. Question: Short of paying a local cabinet maker big dollars ($2000+) to custom make closet doors, does anybody know/have a source for these? Tell me I'm not consigned for all eternity to the disco age!
