Mars - Once In a Lifetime

On August 27th, the planet mars is supposed to be the closest to Earth that it has been in 60,000 years. Equal in size to the full moon. Nobody alive on Earth today has seen it or will ever see it again. Takes place at midnight.

THis information shows up periodically on the internet - last time I recall was about 2 years ago. Sadly, it's impossible for Mars to ever appear larger than a not-very-bright bright reddish "star" to the naked eye. But it makes for a good "headline" on the internet.

Your probley right MikeP. I can't prove it ether way. But stranger things than this have happened. I don't go to sleep before 2:00 am any night so I and the dog will be one of the fools out on the FB checking. . I think your right.
