How do you get the davit off?
it's a Marquipt Tender-Lift 1000/1500 Classic
Does it just lift off the standpipe? I'd like to grease the bearing etc

How heavy is this thing?
Any thing special needs to be done before trying to get it off

I have a similar davit, less the hydraulic lift. It should simply lift off the stand pipe. It is fairly heavy and awkward, but I was able to lift mine off with just one other guy. The bearing is just a nylon disc that sits on top of the standpipe. If yours is chewed up like mine was, Marquipt sells replacements.

I just saw your post. Yes, it lifts off. I suggest 3 people...one on each side at the base and one at the end to help balance. Watch fingers and pinch points.

Thanks!!!
I'll see if I can find help with this beats :)
Any tips on what needs to be serviced

Just check it as Bill Root suggested and ensure it is well lubricated. If questions, call Marquipt and they will help.
