  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' MOTOR YACHT-Series I (1977 - 1980)
Up for sale is a Marquipt angle platform for the tide riders sea stairs. I ordered it almost two years agoalong with a fresh set of stairs and never use them.

It was a pricey add-on and since it is a solid chunk of aluminum, is heavy.

Again I don't know what they are worth used so make me an offer.

Shawn

This is what it looks like installed (not my boat obviously)

Shawn, what are you looking to get for this platform? I thought about buying one, but the price from marquipt deterred me. Bear'

Same inquiry on my end. Also, I note in the picture that there appears to be a line going through the ladder. How does the angled platform maintain its angle--not up and down with the tide but rather in and out from the boat?

Hey Bear, hope you are well... hard to believe it has been so long since that first Hatteras school that Bruce and Roger put on.

I guess i'm willing to take a 50% haircut on the thing... it is less than two years old and was installed once for fit and then never used again... in fact I never even put the non skid tread tape on it.

I just looked at the receipt, paid just over $1000 for it in the winter of 2013. Ill take $500 for it chalk it up to another boat lesson... :)

Hey John, if the General takes a pass on it you can have the same deal, and I'll even drop it off on my way out to the beach house this weekend.

Shawn.

Shawn - thanks. I think I'll pass In doing some more reading, I did not realize that the platform attached to the stairs in what I would describe as a semi permanent way with carriage bolts. At least that is what Marquipt describes. So, unfortunately, without a quick disconnect setup, it is not what I am looking for. Good luck on the sale and enjoy the weekend out East. John

Shawn,
I am going to the boat this weekend and will take some new measurements. Will advise you early next week.
Have a safe weekend!

Shawn,
I measured things over the 4th weekend. It doesn't look like it will work for my slip, I'll have to pass on it. Sorry buddy. Good to hear from you and hope you sell it quickly.

Shawn,

I just purchased a 40' double cabin motor yacht. I have a set of 6 step 19" Marquipt sea stars. My finger at the dock is 58" wide and not enough space to use them. I believe the angle bracket gives both a 20 degree and 45 degree angle. I understand there is more than one type of anchoring system, Could you take a close up picture and post or email me at lakeview@primelink1.net ? I am very interested.

Thank you,

Bob Waz

Seastair platform is sold.

No worries Bear, have a terrific summer.

Sorry Bob, Tom beat you too it by a few days.
