Anyone familiar with this piece of equipment. I know it measures pressure differential and supposedly it is used to tell how much fuel you have. But I know it doesn't seem to work and not sure how to make it work.

Any ideas would be helpful. Already been to the internet with NO JOY.

Is it a Hart tank tender? These are basicly manometers that measure inchs of water column pressure. Pretty simple system you probably have a air leak in the system somewhere.

A magnhelic is a gauge for low pressure or small vacuum measurement. If you are trying to measure fuel level, as rssmith said, you may have a leak. Word of caution, that leak can lead to siphoning fuel depending on where it is. You want to check is asap. Easy to do. Disconnect the at the dip tube and hold the tube in water and pump. Or blow back. Caution, the gauge is sensitive and easily damaged from over pressure.

If you need tubing, it is available from Grainger in two different wall thicknesses. Go for the heavier.

Thanks for the info. I have been to the site but for me it wasn't much help. I hope I am not leaking fuel since this hasn't worked for years....but I guess there would be fuel in the bilge somewhere if I were leaking fuel.

Testing and tracing the tubing is going to be very hard since access is to the fuel tanks is very limited but I will give it a try.

Will keep you updated.
