Have a 20kw onan. Started up great. Running great. Went to transfer power over to the generator and noticed that the voltage on the meter was showing less than. 100 volts lights and everything came on but worries that I'm not getting appropriate voltage. Any suggestions before I start buying parts.

Check it with a plug-in meter to be sure the problem is in the generator and associated wiring first thing. If fluorescent lights light well, voltage may be OK.

Better check Frequency also.

If everything is working normally i d suspect th meter. Is it the same voltmeter used on shore power? Does it show a normal reading on shore?

First thing would be to check voltage, and frequency, with a multiple meter

Pull out the Ohno manual and see if there is a troubleshooting procedure for low voltage. That is a fairly common issue. I had this issue on our Kohler and it was a 18$ part fix.

Yeah probably worth ruling out the gauges. If you have an invertor that may be a good place to get the AC voltage from if it has a control unit that supports it.

Everything seemed to be running fine. Lights working no dim lights and the air conditioner kicked on when I switched over. The meters for the shore power were reading correctly just the generator voltage was off. Thanks for the suggestions
