Lose Your Job At IBM? Reclaim It In India
Company Begins Relocation Initiative

As an alternative to sending its employees to the unemployment line, IBM is offering a chance for them to relocate with the company overseas.
After cutting thousands of jobs in Canada and the United States since January, IBM has announced "Project Match," a relocation initiative that will send recently cut employees to developing markets such as China and India.
An internal note went out saying, "IBM has established Project Match to help you locate potential job opportunities in growth markets where your skills are in demand."
The company said it will also help with moving costs and provide visa assistance.
The program is limited to "satisfactory performers who have been notified of separation from IBM U.S. or Canada and are willing to work on local terms and conditions."
In many cases, employees would make substantially less than what they earned in North America.
