That was this past Sunday night. Very cool watching the lunar eclipse with the family on the boat.Hopefully not synced to a supermoon tide.
Tim said the depth is down to 1.5ft. Even the CCs are having trouble getting through. Right now OI is closed to all traffic. They better get the dredge out of OI. The inlet will be closed for good if it sinks there

I just got back to Morehead city yesterday from OI. There are 2 hopper dredges waiting to go in the inlet . One big problem they can not get there they require 4 feet to start. Another dredge is comming from somewhere around Wilmington NC Southport area. To dig out so the others can start.
Yesterday morning about 6 charter boats went up to the bridge and turned back after looking. As best as i could tell i watched from the old CG station on the east side of the bridge.
The sound was grate yesterday. I had a window and took it glad i did. FYI fuel price finally hit the mark if you got a tax # 1.99 got 300 gallons yesterday. Now the darn inlet stoped up and bad weather can not win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm thinking it will weaken considerably and head further east. Next 24 hours should give a more defined track.Looks like Your back in the crosshairs Jack
