Recently purchased an 1985 Hatteras ED. We are updating the saloon area and one of the easier jobs is giving me the most trouble. The TV is mounted on a vertical aluminum rail and will not release. How can I detach the TV? It is not possible to view or reach back and determine how the TV is attached.

Welcome. Check if there is a little pull string on the bottom. If not get enough posts that you can post pictures.

Some mounts have a locking rod you have to pull before you lift the TV up and out. Others have small locking levers on each side. Try using your phone to see what you have back there

Mine had Phillips screws locking the lower tabs in place. You have to get a phone or bore scope behind there and get some pictures.
