I have phasor 16k that got seawater in the crankcase, in the process now of tearing it down for a rebuild haveing trouble seperating the generator from the engine i have removed the bell housing bolts and fly whell bolts but cant get the flywheel off what am i missing? (15 k phasor, 4 cld kuboto

I think the flywheel stays attached to the engine, and generator bolts to the flywheel right?

Do you have the generator separated and now trying to pull the flywheel? Or are you still trying to get the generator off the engine?

Sure you got all the bolts out?
 
thanks , after soaking in PB overnight flange generater flange seperated from fly wheel now the real fun begins
 
Can you tell us what the cause was that let seawater into the engine? Just helps everyone to learn and possibly avoid something similar, thanks.
 
Not sure yet what happend last time run about 3 months ago fine then, looks like sea water ran thru no.2 cylinder and rusted the piston solid still the other cylinders look ok, working on getting that stuck piston out, plan on new sleeve and piston, ive owned the boat 10 years now and first problem with water ingestion got me stumpend how it got in
