  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
43' CONVERTIBLE-Series I (1978 - 1983)
Do any of the HOF denizens have a recommendation for an involved and motivated broker/agent to represent a motivated seller? What I have in mind is someone who has a network in which to communicate " Here's a decent vintage boat that will give someone a lot of pleasure and is a GREAT deal!" In other words, I don't want a broker who just wants a YW listing and is content to wait for a "buying agent" to call.
All suggestions welcome.

Dennis Demole has a large area up to Daytona and down to Stuart with United yacht sales. Hes a hard working guy and I'd be glad to get you his cell if you pm me.

Scott, I have a friend looking for a broker for his 45 Bayliner pilothouse located in PSL. Please send me his number as well.

I used Brian Franc w/United Yacht Brokers in Pensacola as a buyer's broker for my 56my.

Very knowledgeable, hard worker, honest, and good negotiator.

My broker is Mark Parker from HMY in North Palm Beach. I used him as a buyer's broker when I bought my 74 and am using him in the same capacity in buying the 56 Ocean. He is just terrific. Very calm, all business and knows how the game is played. I would not buy a boat without him, even if it cost me some bargaining leverage using two brokers to buy to do so.

In my opinion, there are a number of highly qualified and motivated brokers ready and willing to represent a buyer. Of course, remember that these individuals have a reasonable degree of confidence that they will receive 5% once you commit to a particular vessel and then close. It is MUCH harder to find a knowledgeable broker/ agent who is committed to the SALE of your boat. They must know the market; be extensively networked; a skilled marketer; technologically advanced; and, prepared to expend effort to complete a sale even though the reward may not adequately reflect the effort when the price is low and the market limited.
Hence my question and my expression of appreciation to Boatsb. I know those few exist. I just want their names!!

Call Dennis. I sent his number in a pm.

Dennis is with United Yach Brokers near the Cape and they also have an office here in Stuart as well. How would that play out given he has collegues here locally?

HQ is Stuart. The Brokers there are all working for the HQ office. Dennis owns the office at port Canaveral and has Brokers working for him too. Brokers have the ability to work wherever they want and most don't leave their comfort zone. Dennis has boats listed all over the state and drives all over to service the listings. He outsells some of his colleagues in their back yards because he just works harder than they do.
