  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
61' MOTOR YACHT (1980 - 1985)
I'm in the process of buying a 61my, that's down in the Chesapeake, what are my options for
fueling along the Jersey shore befor I hit New York. thanks.

I just top off in Cape May then you will be fine.

Cape may is usually cheap (utsh) . Atlantic highlands can be competitive too sometimes. Check active captain and call a couple of days before that s the only way to be sure,

I once refueled in manasquan as their price was good on that trip.

After NJ the next cheap fuel is Pt Judith. Ny and CT is always high

Atlantic Highlands Municipal Marina has good clean fuel and price is usually much lower than most, particularly NY/CT. Price hasn't been as good since Sandy so check with Bahrs and Schupps, both in the Highlands. They offer a volume and cash discount which can make them less than Atlantic Highlands. All are in the same area and very easy in/out for big boats. Current can be very strong at Bahrs and Schupps so pay close attention.

I always liked Atlantic Highlands because the price was good, the fuel clean, nice people and could pump out at the same time. Plus, it was the last cheap fuel before heading into New York and New England.
