I am looking for a replacement raw water pump for a DD 8-71 Jabsco 6980-0011, I was wondering
if anyone has a spare, or could recommend a good place to get one, I am in Bradenton Fl.
Thanks Stewart

rebuilt on ebay....700.00

We have used Depco pump. You will find them a bit North of you in Clearwater/Tampa area.

Do you not have the pump at all? It would be a lot less expensive to rebuild it. Parts are readily available at places like: http://www.pumpagents.com/partpages/JabscoPumps/6980-0011.html

But, as noted, the pumps are available from a variety of sources. FWIW, a new pump is no better than a rebuilt one…assuming the rebuild was properly done.

Having bought and rebuilt pumps through Depco, I'd give them my highest recommendation.

Their people are very honest and knowledgable, their work is top notch and pricing very fair. They can advise whether replace/rebuild is your best bet.

I had an issue with an old jabsco pump. Jabsco was having trouble sorting it out so they referred me to depco.

Thanks all for the advice, I have the pump however, the bearing failed 3 years, 600 hours, after
being rebuilt. I am planning to go to Depco in Clearwater .
Thanks Stewart
