:D The lymphoma is gone. Other things medical seem in order, and hurricane season insurance restrictions are about ended, so it's time to go cruising. Chateau de Mer has spent the summer inside a 'hurricane proof' building at River Forest LaBelle and has gotten some maintenance and TLC things done, some serious (keel cracks patched), some cosmetic (two coats of Awl Care). She's looking great and will get fresh bottom paint before launch and a good zinc coating on the running gear.

Our plan is to head to Ft Myers City Marina for a week to play tourist, then slowly work our way to Sarasota to play tourist again and do lots of anchoring in both directions. Thanksgiving will be in Englewood, after which we will head back home to Port St Lucie. Give us a shout if you see the old gal on the water.

Yea, Bob! Great news about the lymphoma; congrats!

Now, back to boating!

Glad you are healthy and boating again. If you get near St Pete, give me a shout. I may run down to Sarasota the week before Thanksgiving.

Bob, so glad to hear your good to go! Your story hit a chord with me as my brothers wife died last summer of very aggressive breast cancer. 2 little kids, she was only 49. Cruise on Bob and enjoy every minute of it.

Great news Bob. Time to enjoy some cruising!

Sorry to hear about the illness, but happy for the good result!
Enjoy your well earned boating life!

Great news Bob

Enjoy your time cruising !

Thanks everyone for all the good wishes. We are anxious to go. Gayle has all the gear we need to reload all over the floors of the condo. It will be tight, but we hope to get it all in one minivan load.

That sounds great Bob. Happy travels. We have a couple more weeks of traveling then going home for the winter spending time with family. March 1st we will be back down here and will stay at Ft. pierce this time around for the St. Lucie outage. We then hope to go to the Bahamas in May. Crossing fingers that is...... Thanks again for all your help.

Great News Bob!

Enjoy the water:cool:

Great news Bob!
May you have many more years of cruising!

Hi All,

Thats wonderful news, it's no easy thing to beat, and now you're boating again :) :)

Great news Bob! I have been thinking of you quite a bit these last few months. Hope to meet you on the High Seas.

Sounds great Bob enjoy your time on the water! There's always St. Pete just a little farther North.

Thanks Dan. Our schedule has only two fixed targets, Ft Myers next week and Cape Haze for Thanksgiving. We plan to stop by Fisherman's Village and Burnt Store as well as Sarasota, so who knows what else will get on the itinerary.

All: I appreciate your thoughts and good wishes. The chemo treatment really was not all that bad. Getting over the side effects is going to take time. My strength went to h**l, and more so, my balance. Working out in the pool has helped a lot and I just got an exercise program for home and aboard, so can continue to work out. Tell you what, I'm sure happy I'm doing this on a solid old Hatt MY with high rails and only a few steps between levels. :) A Sea Ray with low flimsy rails would have been scary. :(
