Got down to Beaufort yesterday afternoon. My boat had been pulled and was in the parking lot at Towne Creek Marina. Boat is fine! Then I went around to look at the floating docks. Only about 30% remain and they had a small boat trying to collect what they could find that had been torn away. The wind coming in from the west did it. Normally there are sedge islands that protect the marina from the waves coming in from that direction. Surge took care of that and had 6 footers battering the docks for many hours. There was no power from New Bern to Beaufort at all. Overall happy that the boat had no damage but feel sorry for the marina owner who is a great guy. We'll get her launched sometime this week and take her home to New Bern.
