I had heard of this software for the Iphone - Dynolicious - as a pocket dynomometer. But I had pooh-pooed it because until now I was not aware of any tests that actually checked it against reality. I had seen tests where it was compared to other electronic purpose-built in-car meters (like G-tech) or people saying, "yep, that's about what my car should do," but that's useless since we wouldn't know if that was accurate either.

But this video convinced me to spring for the entire cost of $12.99: http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...k-vs-dyno.html

Note that you can, of course, also measure your boat's "performance" the same way...

Hope the app works better than the link. :D

Seriously Mike, that link doesn't work. I thought maybe it had something to do with my home computer, but it won't open at the office either. Sounds cool though, and I have a 3G-S.

Watched the YouTube clip and was impressed. Too bad you didn't post this a couple of months ago before I installed a K&N cold air box on my CTS-V. Then I could really see if it made any difference as opposed to just sounding faster.

As was the case with the Navionics apps I bought for my iPhone, this seems to be unbelievably cheap, even though I don't think it would be much help to a boater. Drag boater maybe. :D

I'll buy it and tell you how it works out.
