  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
48' LRC (1976 - 1981)
Sometime over 20 years ago the previous owner had the pilot house console updated in our 48 LRC. A raised instrument panel was installed and this unit and the surrounding horizontal areas were covered with a tan vinyl that I have seen used on many 90's Hatteras.

The vinyl has gradually taken on a wavy appearance and is no longer stretched tight as originally installed. Has anyone seen a similar development? Also, anyone found a solution for treating the situation short of tearing it all apart and redoing the vinyl?

Thanks

Pete

The adhesives have given up the ghosts. You can try a hair dryer to heat it up. Inject new adhesive and roll it out with a wallpaper seam roller.

How about a picture? If the vinyl ends under a piece of teak trim, lift the trim, stretch the vinyl (or replace) and re-install the trim.
