Hatteras Model
74' COCKPIT MY (1995 - 1999)
I am usually pretty good at this but I am stumped. I have a Garmin 5212 chartplotter feeding Nav information to my Simrad AP 22 autopilot which is interfaced, I think, with my Furuno Navnet Two display being used as a radar display. I cannot get the waypoint lollipop to show up on the Furuno. According to the manual, I can get the lollipop if I select a waypoint from the Furuno but that is not what I am doing. The waypoint is selected from the Garmin and fed to the pilot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is this a new problem that used to work or are you trying to do something differently?

Prior owner just replaced the Navnet display. I do not know whether it worked with the old display. My guess is that it was never setup to receive waypoint info from the Garmin/Simrad.

Probably correct. You have 2 old systems there neither or which is current. If they replaced a display they probably had issues with it. It could be time to upgrade.

Does the garmin and the ap22 work well together?

Is the Furuno connected via NMEA If so there should be a way to configure it to receive the WP info from
The Garmin. I m no expert but isn't that one of the benefit of networking electronics?

The garmin only had 2 nmea 0183 outputs. 1 to the ap. The other probably DSC on a radio.

The vx2 has no nmea 2000. O183 is not networking. It's peer to peer.

They work perfectly together. Should the other output from the Garmin be going directly to the Navnet or should the Navnet be receiving waypoint info from the AP22? Either way. It appears the Navnet is not receiving any waypoint info at all. Could it perhaps be that an output sentence is turned off on the Garmin and or AP22? If so, which sentence(s) are for the waypoint info? The Navnet doe have a separate heading sensor that needs calibration but is working. Thanks.
