  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
52' CONVERTIBLE (1983 - 1990)
I had the intercoolers cleaned and now ready to reassemble. The output hose is 4.5" ID which is available. The inputs are 3.5" ID but parts list shows 3.125. The cast number is 892223 which I can not locate on the net. Is this something specific to marine or am I just missing something?

Wouldn't measuring the OD of the fitting give you the best size for the hose?

That is how found the discrepancy in the listed size and the actual size. I need to verify the turbo output OD before I order but just found the size differential to be odd.

I've found they fudged a little here and there on my J & T 6-71 TIs. There are places where they connected two different sized fittings with a single hose which matched the larger of the two fittings. It seems to work OK though.

My 650 hp 8V92 Have 3.5" from each turbo to intercooler. However the left bank where the elbow is is 3.5 at the turbo and 3" at the intercooler. The later TI,s had all 3.5" from the turbos and 4.5" at the air inlet into the blower.
