A good agent can usually defer the haul out and survey if everything else is fine. An in water should be fine but more and more ins cos are requiring haul outs for ins. surveys.

why do they need a survey if all you have is liability?

My insurance Co. pulled the same stunt with me including going up on my rates. So, in appreciation to their letter, I am dumping them (Markel to name them). Anyway I have set up next week to do a in the water survey with a guy that actually teaches at the Chapman school in Stuart. I do not know him other than a name that was passed to me two weeks ago. His name is Jerry and his ph # is 772-971-6562. He has some opening for next week. I'm calling him tomorrow to set the date. The new insurance Co. (Foremost) agreed to an in water survey because I just had the boat out of the water two months ago painting the running gear and last Jan. painting the hull which still is in great shape.
