Information needed...engine alarm panel

These are photos of the engine alarm panel for a 1973 45C with two Detroits. The panel labeling has been completely painted over, and we don't have the Hatteras wiring diagram for this unit. We need to know how they are labeled and how they work. The top row is 4 on/off switches. The 2nd row is 4 lights, and the bottom row is a light, 2 toggle switches, and a light.

We are not sure if this was the original equipment either. Could someone please provide information on the labels and operation.

Your panel looks like Bilge Pump Controls to me:

I do not see a horn or other signaling device in your panel. My 2 cents.

It looks like a Crozier alarm panel. Its for oil pressure, water temp and high water. I was able to get a replacement face plate from sams and ended up buying a complete single engine unit on e-bay to get a replacement multi position switch.

I took a photograph of the single engine unit i got from e-bay (had it in my bedroom, true boater) and scanned the instructions. hope it helps

We don't know what all of the switches are to, but there was an alarm wired to the control panel.

Thanks for the photos and information - and I understand having boat parts in the bedroom, our boat has completely taken over our entire house.

my panel on my boat looks exactly like yours but i dont have the high water alarms. The switches just turn the alarms on and off. They should sound when you energize the ignition and shut off after start up. Kind of like the bulb check feature on your cars dashboard.

We haven't been able to locate any sensors for high water alarms, but we are the 3rd owner so they may have been removed previously.

Could you please describe how your panel is labeled? (Or a photo if/when you are on the boat would be great.)

Call Sam's marine and talk to Steve. He has all the parts and pieces. Steve even has a new 12 point alarm system for the old Hatteras alarm system.
