  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
52' CONVERTIBLE (1983 - 1990)
I am looking for information on the subject boat listed on Craigslist at $255,000. Owner claims engin have 240 hrs since rebuild. He also claims total interior refit but pictures furnished are questionable. He claims it is one owner boat and still says he bought it last year. I think he has had other boats listed previously, and says will trade almost anything, condo, motor coach, other boats. I can't find a listing on Yachtworld which also conceans me. Thanks fo your help. WWG

There was a thread started on this boat a couple months ago under boats for sale. I believe it's the same boat. We all wondered the same thing, "original owner"??? I think the conclusion was maybe he's like a wholeseller, like a small dealer or guy that buys boats uses them for a short period and flips them. Who knows, but overall the boat does look nice, especially for it's age. I'm not sure where your located but if need be and you really have interest in it I'd be happy to put some eyes on it in person for you. I'll be back in Fort Lauderdale June 11th and can take a look. I like having an excuse to look at what appear to be nice boats.

That one shows 499,000.00 not sure if they would drop it 200k

Nine photos on a half-million dollar asking price? A bit thin on information. I guess that's supposed to make you pick up the phone.

I don't think those engines would be my first choice. Maybe not even my third, frankly.

Only one generator? Not planning to use the long range capability I guess.
I didn't notice that. I guess they tossed one because I'm pretty sure all the 60s had 2.

For that kind of $$ you could get a faster more modern 65.
